The administration of the Computer Based Written Exam-National Test Based Selection (UTBK-SNBT) at IPB University always yields a variety of stories and impressions from the test-takers. In addition to being a crucial moment in determining the path toward their dream university, the campus atmosphere and available facilities also provide a unique experience for the test takers.
Martasya Prisila Putri, a test-taker from SMA Pesat Bogor, admitted she was excited to see the atmosphere of her dream campus. “Even though there were some questions I hadn’t mastered yet, it was fun and challenging. This adds to my experience,” she said. She also hopes to continue her studies at the Faculty of Medicine and Nutrition at IPB University.
Positive impressions also came from Putrianti, a participant from Taruna Bangsa Sentul School. She noted that the lush campus environment at IPB University provided a sense of calm during the exam. “The room was comfortable, I could even see trees from the exam room. When I felt stuck, I tried to calm myself down and look out the window, which helped me feel refreshed,” she said. She also appreciated the proctors, whom she found friendly and clear in their instructions. Putrianti also hopes to be accepted into the Faculty of Medicine and Nutrition at IPB University.
A similar sentiment was expressed by Muhammad Ikhsan from Insan Kamil High School in Bogor. He admitted he had left home at dawn, driven by his parents. “My first impression was quite a surprise because the questions were different from what we’d studied. But the building and rooms were suitable for use, I just thought the room temperature was a bit cold,” he explained. Ikhsan hopes to continue his education at IPB’s Vocational School in the Environmental Engineering and Management program.
Meanwhile, Salwa Azzahra from Nuraida Islamic Boarding School in Bogor noted that the atmosphere at IPB University’s campus was very comfortable. She also appreciated the available facilities and the staff assisting with the UTBK activities. “The computers are good, the proctors are kind, and they’re very helpful to the participants,” she said.
