IPB University has once again achieved a proud accomplishment on the global stage by ranking 48th in the world for Agriculture & Forestry and placing in the World Top 100 (ranks 51–100) for Veterinary Science according to the 2026 QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) by Subject.

This achievement further underscores IPB University’s consistency as the only Indonesian university capable of maintaining a position in the global Top 50 for Agriculture & Forestry, continuing the positive trend sustained over the past several years.

Moreover, IPB University has risen from 10th to 8th place in Asia for the same field, while remaining the top-ranked institution in Southeast Asia and Indonesia.

In the previous year, IPB University had ranked 49th globally in the same field. This demonstrates the continuity of its outstanding performance and increasingly strong global competitiveness.

Rector Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet stated that this achievement serves as a crucial foundation for IPB University to continue advancing in building a global reputation rooted in tangible impact.

“This achievement is not just about our ranking position, but about how IPB continues to provide solutions to global challenges. We want to ensure that every piece of research, innovation, and IPB graduate truly contributes to strategic issues such as food security, climate change, and public health,” he said.

He emphasized that moving forward, IPB University will further strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and international partnerships, while also promoting the commercialization of innovations so that their benefits are felt more widely by the public.

“We believe that global excellence must go hand in hand with practical benefits. Therefore, IPB will continue to innovate, expand its networks, and strengthen the quality of education and research, so that it is not only competitive at the global level but also relevant and impactful for Indonesia and the world,” he added.

IPB University continues to demonstrate excellence in scientific publications, international collaboration, and the relevance of its research to global issues such as food security, climate change, and animal health.

The achievement in the field of Veterinary Science, which ranks among the Top 100 in the world, is also a key indicator that the development of veterinary science at IPB University is increasingly recognized globally, in line with the One Health approach that integrates human, animal, and environmental health.

Compared to the previous year, IPB University’s strengthened position is evident not only in its ranking but also in the growing global recognition of the quality of its graduates, the impact of its research, and the university’s innovative contributions to addressing the challenges of sustainable development.
