First Day of the 2026 UTBK-SNBT at IPB University, Rector Ensures Humane and Ethical Service

The first day of the Computer Based Written Exam–National Test Based Selection (UTBK-SNBT), held on Tuesday (4/21) at IPB University, proceeded smoothly and orderly. Starting at 5:00 WIB, participants for the morning session began arriving at the exam site on the Dramaga Campus. A similar scene was observed at the IPB Vocational School Campus located in Cilibende, Bogor City.

A total of 20.398 participants were registered for the 2026 UTBK-SNBT at IPB University. This year’s exam is being held in a single wave over 10 days, from April 21–30 and May 2, 2026. Each day, the exam is divided into two sessions, morning and afternoon with a total of 1.890 participants per day, or 945 participants per session.

IPB University Rector Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet, while personally observing the exam administration, stated that overall the event proceeded smoothly and in accordance with the regulations set by the central committee.

“We ensured that all aspects from the network, infrastructure, and systems to supervision could support the smooth conduct of today’s exam,” he said.

He also emphasized the importance of creating a comfortable and conducive exam environment, given that the UTBK-SNBT is a crucial moment for the participants’ future.

“We want to provide comfort and peace of mind to all participants, as this is crucial for their future. Additionally, we are committed to maintaining the integrity of the process not only by being honest and transparent, but also by ensuring that the services provided are humane and capable of accommodating the participants’ needs,” he added.

Regarding strategies to address potential technical challenges, IPB University has implemented various proactive measures, including intensive coordination with the central organizing committee and ensuring the readiness of all supporting facilities. System testing has also been conducted successfully.

“We continue to coordinate with the central organizing committee regarding implementation guidelines. Additionally, we ensure that networks, equipment, and rooms meet the required standards. We are also providing training to supervisors and IT staff so that they are not only technically prepared but also possess the necessary competencies to handle various potential challenges,” he explained.

With these preparations in place, IPB University is confident that the 2026 UTBK-SNBT will run optimally until the end, while providing a safe, comfortable, and integrity-driven testing experience for all participants. (AS) (IAAS/LAN)
