Javan Mangoose
Reddish-brown to black in color, with black legs. The head is more grayish, with a black spot on the chin. This animal has a total length of 60–65 cm (including the tail) and weighs around 1,4 kg. The tail is relatively short, about 25 cm, and is one-third the length of the body.
The Javan Mongoose has five toes on each foot and generally bare soles. It can be found in bamboo stands in Cikabayan, Biofarmaka, Al-Hurriyyah Forest, and the riparian vegetation of the Ciapus-Cihideung-Cisadane River.
