Body length 40 – 47 cm, tail length 50 – 60 cm. Average body weight 3 – 7 kg, grayish brown to reddish brown body, babies are more blackish. Adult individuals usually have prominent cheekbangs. Active from morning until evening. Lives in groups of 5–30 individuals with one dominant male as the alpha male leader and 2–4 male members, while the rest are females.
