The Benefits of Being a Faculty Member at IPB University: A Wide Range of Publication Services Available

IPB University continues to demonstrate outstanding research performance at the national level. IPB University is the university with the highest number of funded proposals in the BIMA program and the Research Commercialization program. IPB University is also ranked 

Based on the Science and Technology Index (Sinta) 3-Year Score, IPB University is also ranked among the top two with a score of 1.415.701 as of March 2026. When considering the faculty-to-student ratio, IPB’s Sinta score ranks first with a ratio of 863.

In light of these positive achievements, Rector Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet reaffirmed IPB University’s commitment to doubling its research funding allocation. This aims to maintain consistency in increasing globally reputable scientific publications.

In addition to increased funding, IPB University recognizes Q1 publications by granting academic credit equivalent to 10–12 semester credit units (SKS), and up to 15 SKS for researchers designated as “top-tier scientists,” as well as tuition waivers for graduate students who successfully publish articles in Q1 journals.

“IPB University aims to become a global leader in food security, energy, sustainability, and health through the strengthening of its research ecosystem, global collaboration, and increased publication in reputable international journals such as Nature and Science,” he explained.

Publication House

Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Agromaritime Development, Prof Ernan Rustiadi, stated that IPB University’s research achievements are supported by a publication ecosystem that is continuously being strengthened, one of which is through the Publication House program. 

“IPB provides various mentoring services to help faculty members and researchers publish their research results in a higher-quality and more competitive manner on a global scale,” he said.

The Publication House program was developed as an integrated center for academic writing and scientific publication services for faculty, researchers, and students. Through training, mentoring, and technical publication support, IPB University ensures that research results are published professionally and meet the standards of reputable international journals.
